A brief description about the institution |

Dr.Somervell Memorial C.S.I Medical College, Karakonam is owned by the Medical Mission of the South Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India (SIUC). The Medical College was etablished in the year 2002 with an intake capacity of 100 seats for MBBS and is affiliated to the University of Kerala. Note: 1. A maximum of 30 seats out of the seats reserved for the Community is reserved for the Management Community viz. Dalit Christians of the South Kerala Diocese and SIUC/ CSI Christian Nadars. 2. Unfilled seats if any, in SC/ST & OBC will be allotted to the Community, and seats if any in the Community will be allotted to Open Merit. 3. Concession in tuition fees to financially weaker sections will be given to candidates from SC/ST & Socially and Educationally Backward Communities. |
